01

Basecamp

Gear up, meet your guide, and run through the safety briefing before heading out.

02

Military Compound

Coastal artillery battery built to defend the port of Lisbon. Three 234mm Vickers guns, decommissioned in ’98. Bunkers and graffiti remain.

03

Grand Canyon

Cliffs cut wide and deep. Lisbon on the horizon on a clear day.

04

Abandoned Water Park

OndaParque — 5,000 visitors a day in ’88, shut down by ’96. Empty slides, cracked pools, the best graffiti for miles.

05

Capuchos Convent

Franciscan monastery built in 1558, set between forest and cliff.

06

Viewpoint

Caparica’s 13km of beach to the south. Atlantic in front. Nothing behind you.

07

Farmlands

Small farms still working the land the way they did fifty years ago.

08

Basecamp

Snack, drink, and a moment to swap stories before you head off.

Meeting point

We meet at Lx4 HQ — Costa da Caparica, Rua Frei Bartolomeu Assunção nº15. Free parking on the street. 15 minutes from central Lisbon by car, or a short bus ride from Pragal — several lines stop nearby.
